Who is it for?

You are a leader with several years of experience. You look for an international group of like minded peers to reflect your practice, hone your skills and take them to the next level or prepare for a new position in your leadership development?

How do we work?

What to learn?

You will deep dive into five topics that have a high impact on your leadership performance: personality, coaching, visioning, leadership styles, and health & resilience are reflected in a group coaching way enabling feedback from peers and deepening connection with valuable like minded contacts.

Why enrol?

We balance structure and flexibility. One third of the time is self-paced individual learning, one third group online workshops with case discussions, Q&As, and group interaction, and one third will be your own practice projects and peer feedback (self paced). Workshops take place monthly with time in between to practice and prepare for the next module. 1-1 coaching with the instructor as an upgrade option helps you access the deeper leverage to your leadership development. Your takeaways:

  • clarity about your development areas
  • steps and tools for taking your leadership skills to the next level
  • sharing and discussions with peers to double check your strategies
  • feedback and hints from experienced colleagues and peers
  • effective methods for your practice
  • a peer group for learning during the program and after
  • online learning content and streaming available for 6 months

When?

6 group workshops of 1.5 hours each are the core of the program. After each workshop you will spend an additional 2 hours applying your learning and another 2 hours preparing for the next workshop with a peer from our group.

Please send an email if you require specific dates (for more info see FAQ).

Your Commitment

The total program time per participant is some 33 hours. Make sure that every month you can spend 2 hours of active preparation of our group workshops using videos, self assessments, etc. (except for the kick off). The workshops are the core of the program with ALL participants present. After each workshop you will apply your learning in practice projects in your workplace which requires another 2 hours before the following workshop.

Hi, my name is Gerald,

I’m a German engineer by education, a passionate change leadership coach and performing artist. Living in Germany, Australia and now Shanghai has allowed me to work with leaders from Europe, the US, China, Japan, Australia, Korea, India, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and more. After my Engineering PhD in Chemnitz I started working for Daimler in Stuttgart in 1991 and soon became member in Dieter Zetsche’s change management team. That’s when I began to study change, leadership coaching, group dynamics, and psychology. I had the invaluable opportunity to directly learn from most advanced scolars like Edgar H. Schein, David Kantor, Larry Hirschhorn, Wolfgang Looss, Hans Jellouschek, Claus Otto Scharmer, Matthias Varga von Kibed, Richard Timel and more. In 1999 I co-founded deloop management consulting in Stuttgart and in 2015 deloop management consulting Asia. I was fortunate enough to coach many leaders and leadership teams of different cultures globally in companies like:

Daimler, Heidelberger Druck, Atlas, Infineon, Lufthansa, Heraeus, BMW, VW, Evonic, Porsche, ASAM, Dürr, Deutsche Bahn, Raiffeisen, Rolls Royce and more. Executive Programs include: Hernstein General Management Program (HGMP) in Vienna, Corporate Entrepreneurship in China (CEIC) with innova in Shanghai, and projects in APAC with OSB international.

Participant voices

'Thanks Gerald, I really liked the training, as the content was provided in a very professional manner. Essential tools for leaders and their meaning comprised and easy to digest. In combination with self-learning, peer coaching and your support a very valuable approach I can clearly recommend to leaders and future leaders!', Frederic Buehler, Germany

'The format, the group sessions, the time blocks for learning are really good, no overload in a short amount of time. I was skeptical at the start, and then got the most out of a short period of time. There are easy to understand videos and cloud content - books wouldn’t have worked. The course offers good balance between preparation, workshops, slides, less words, all well considered. When I knew you were going to hold the training it was an easy decision knowing your Australia background and understanding of our culture’ Mark Crotty and team, Melbourne, Sydney, Perth, Australia

‘The program for me was the perfect start for a) understanding how I could be a more effective, empathic leader, and b) starting my own future journey of being a coach / trainer to others. Gerald is an incredibly inspiring human being who combines patience, experience, professionalism, honesty and humility that I have rarely seen in people with his credentials. I recommend the course to anyone looking for self-development opportunities towards being a better leader, or simply, being a better human being.’, Nitin Dani, India, working in Shanghai

'I’ve had the chance to attend the IDP course last year. And the experience has been extremely formative and interesting. Gerald combines years of experience in leadership coaching, vision of the future (what futures leaders will need to succeed) and deep knowledge of the character behavior. This allows him to grasp every nuance of the attendants, shaping the better suggestions for everyone. Moreover, the diversity of topics, the way the course is structured, the participation of colleagues with different experiences, makes it very attractive. Last but not least, Gerald is a very nice person, with many sides that are a pleasure to discover little by little. Highly recommended.' - Vittorio Blasi, Italy, working in Germany
